Office Building in Shanghai
New Headquarter Tower in Baoshan, Shanghai
The plot of the just over 100,000 m² complex is located in Baoshan District, Shanghai, on an elevated railway line. In addition to the optimization of the individual office spaces combined with an energy-efficient design, an important planning goal was therefore the reduction of noise pollution from passing trains. The solution was to change the orientation of the building at a 45 degree angle and position both office towers across from the train tracks. In addition, the glazing of the curtain wall system at the rear of the office tower was minimized.
