Henrik Wings

Founder & Director, Dipl.-Ing. Architect

 

Henrik is an accomplished architect and dedicated design leader with a genuine passion for design exploration and innovation.

More than 18 years of professional experience across four continents gave him in-depth design and management know-how as well as an intercultural business understanding that enabled him to create numerous award-winning projects.

Before founding his own practice, Henrik worked as Design Director for Gensler in Shanghai where he led multi-cultural teams across disciplines and offices on multiple award winning projects. In addition to a brief stint in Sydney, Australia, he has held positions including Director for HLW and for Swanke Hayden Connell Architects based in New York and London, where he led the firm’s Greater China team and oversaw operations.

Henrik received his Dipl.-Ing./ MSc. degree in architecture from Bauhaus University Weimar, Germany and is a registered Architect with the German Chamber of Architects in Hesse.

Roland Winkler

Project partner & Sustainability Director

 

Roland, who holds a PhD. in Chinese language and culture from LMU Munich, has been working for more than 20 years in the field of sustainability, urban development and energy-efficient construction in Greater China.

Roland is owner of MUDI Ltd., a comprehensive AEC service provider that developed the first ever low-energy office building, the PIV, in Pujiang, Shanghai. He is also the founder of Ecobuild Shanghai, a sustainability platform that later evolved into Econet China, which he co-developed with the German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and the City of Hamburg.

As Chairman of the German association SINOBAU, which aims to promote cooperation in the field of energy-efficiency, he is a well-known expert on sustainable building solutions.

Steve Brown

Project partner & Director, BA (Hons) Dip Arch

 

Steve is an architect with over thirty years of experience in Europe and Asia and our Project partner with Steve Brown Architects in London. He worked as a Design Director for Aukett Swanke, Gensler and established and headed up Farrells’ first Asian office in Hong Kong.

Steve is a great collaborator offering direction and leadership throughout the entire design process

Working directly with clients or in collaboration with established and newly formed architectural practices he adds experienced design input  to existing projects, new commissions and pitches.

Steve has been a visiting critic at the Bartlett and Cambridge University and is currently tutoring a student through his Diploma in Architecture at Oxford Brookes University.
